There’s broad consensus that the ABC’s decision to air a graphic sketch depicting Gina Rinehart on its program Race Around the World, was a stupid one.
But when Gina Rinehart accuses the broadcaster of “failing all women” in the misstep, at the same time she actively backs Pauline Hanson in the race for PM, I think it’s fair we scratch our heads. My take.
Also today, it was Women’s Agenda’s birthday on the weekend, and it got us reflecting about the big social, cultural and political changes that have taken place in the last 14 years, but also the quieter changes and the compounding impacts on women that have emerged or intensified along the way.
